Project Description:
Design and Analysis provided independent detailed analysis of construction staging for the incrementally launched bridge technique for the 250m-long structure across the Mandurah Estuary.
Project Scope:
- Independent structural verification for construction staging
- Independent calculations to proof structural design of bridge super structure and substructure
- Verification against SWTC and Australian Standard Requirements
- Independent calculations and verification of the fishing platforms.
Outcome:
The new Mandurah Traffic Bridge was fully opened to traffic in December 2017. It includes a 5m-wide shared path separated from the main bridge and fishing platforms and boardwalks accessible from the eastern and western foreshores.
