Project Description:
Design & Analysis was engaged by constructor HAJV (Highway Construction / Albem Operations JV) to provide an alternative bridge design for a Main Roads WA bridge over water in Three Springs Western Australia.
Project Scope:
- Detailed design development of an alternative bridge design to facilitate accelerated project completion
- Provision of revised drawings
- Supplier liaison to optimize materials use
- Development of Safety in Design (SiD) and design report
- Geometry and construction methodology
- Construction support
Outcome:
The alternative bridge design developed by Design & Analysis facilitated an accelerated project program by eliminating pile capping beams which enabled the HAJV construction team to construct the abutment and pier supports for the bridge during a particularly rainy season.
