Tanks

Our Approach

Whether requiring an elevated precast concrete tank as part of a water distribution network or a concentrates steel tank accommodating agitators on a mine site, D+A’s Engineers have specific experience in the detailed design of liquid retaining structures.  We have successfully designed tanks for a large range of containment materials and have assisted clients in the successful design delivery of structures constructed utilising numerous different construction methodologies.

Employing the latest techniques in the analysis of structures, D+A is well equipped to deal with the complexities of tank design including dynamics of elevated tanks, wind loading response, time dependent behaviour of post tensioning, seismic response of tanks and soil-structure interaction of buried tanks. All our designs are developed in compliance with Australian and international standards such as AS3735, API650 and AWWA D100.

Drawing on our experience, we assist clients with structural integrity assessments of tanks and employ our experience in structural reliability and compliance to develop optimised remedial works for tanks.
